I have a new column, called Your First Time, now on glorious display at The Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy.  This is a completely wonderful site dedicated to funny ladies, though we occasionally welcome finicky children and sarcastic men.

The wickedly creative Noah Scalin, who made a skull every day at the same time I was doing something new every day, graciously asked me earlier this year (in an email at midnight on my birthday, fittingly and unbeknownst to him) to contribute to his second book, 365: A Daily Creativity Journal. The book is now available for purchase on Amazon, and is also probably lurking somewhere in your local independent bookstore. It’s got art project ideas, recipes, advice and general inspiration for anyone who wants to commit a year of their life to creating or accomplishing anything at all.

Earlier this year, I was asked by a fan of In the New to contribute an essay to the book 30 Things to Do When You Turn 30. Other authors include Paige Davis (Trading Spaces), NBA star Chris Webber and singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, so I was really honored to be included! The book is available on Amazon.
